Lightening struck and killed one person identified as Chantal Nyiranzeyimana in Rusizi district leaving dozens injured.
The incident happened September 30, at Nkungu Sector in Rusizi District
Its reported that 22 people were injured in the incidence and have been admitted in critical condition at Mbirizi Hospital for medical attention.
An eyewitness Florence Uwikunda said “Three of us were standing in the compound and when it struck, we all fell down and the next thing I knew we were in hospital”.
Justin Wabenga the director of Mbirizi hospital said the victims were steadily recovering apart from one who was still struggling to speak.
