Muhanga district Mayor Mutakwasuku Yvonne has said that two people have been arrested in connection with killings that had been reported in the district in the previous weeks.
Two men were arrested Friday in Remera, Nyamabuye sector. One of the suspects was arrested after stealing a resident, a telephone and money worth Frw 3000. Another suspect had already broken a window to a kiosk in the area.
District authorities say the men arrested were responsible for causing insecurity in the area and violently murdering over 11 residents with machetes.
