In the Security meeting of the Eastern Province chaired by the governor wamariya Odette, local leaders have been urged to increase their efforts in achieving their targets and more especially mobilising the people to uplift their security.
It was recommended in the meeting that there shall be a security mapping to zone areas much affected by cases resulting from the consumption of illegal substances so that solutions can be obtained.
The meeting recommended that idle and disorderly people in the area shall be relocated to transit center where they will receive vocational skills training and others given jobs to earn some income.
MINAGRI officialsat the meeting reported that the province is expected to harvest Maize produce estimated at 320,000 of national total of 700,000 tones.
The citizens have been urged to collaborate with security officials in efforts aimed at maintaining quality security for the people and their property in crucial forthcoming holiday season.
